Lightweight Decking

This is a construction methodology that uses EPS in the roofs and the floors, it has the effect of reducing the building’s weight and the temperature. This has a materially reduced building cost as the EPS foam is cheaper than the block and steel, but in addition has resulted in lighter more earthquake resistant buildings with reduced temperatures from the insulating properties of the EPS. All of the Spanish chains of hotels which have been constructed in Jamaica have used EPS foam as an integral part of their buildings. The hotels which used these products are:
